An interior design project for a young private client. Starting from the existing, the project regenerated the quality of the spaces, giving them new life.

The purity and rigour of natural materials, together with the use of geometric patterns and colours, are the distinguishing mark of Interior AP.

The project deals with the total renovation of a flat located in the centre of Salerno. The original partition of the flat had a first entrance hall and individual rooms connected by a central corridor.

The rooms enjoy of daylight throughout the day. The good exposure has made it possible to distribute the living area entirely to the South side, using the remaining rooms to accommodate the sleeping area and services.

The project partly preserved the original layout of the flat, using the corridor to connect the rooms, but creating a single 'living' space between the entrance, living room and kitchen. The living area has thus been considerably enlarged.

A large 2.60 m high glass door was designed to allow the division between kitchen and living room. The four sliding doors allow the space to be divided as required.

The entire flat has been floored with Italian herringbone oak parquet. The parquet connotes all the rooms in the house, with the exception of the bathrooms and the laundry room.

The first bathroom, left in its original position, was clad in natural stone. The colours chosen echoed the warm tones of the living area.

The second bathroom was characterised with cladding given by a specially designed geometric pattern. The colour of one of the triangular modules was picked up on the wall outside the bathroom. The flush door matching the wall introduces a blade of colour into the bathroom.

The lighting is provided both by pendant luminaires, present in the higher rooms, and by indirect lights, recessed, for example, in the wooden panelings.
